Objectives

The primary objective of the project is to establish a durable, high-security fencing solution that effectively deters intrusion and enhances the safety of the designated facilities. The system will incorporate both Razor Wire Barbed Tape and Chain Link Fence components, with additional features such as corner posts, gates, straining posts, and footings.

Razor Wire Barbed Tape Specifications

• Material Composition:

  • High-tensile galvanized steel core wire (2.5 mm diameter).
  • Galvanized steel blade/strip (0.5 mm thickness) formed into razor-sharp barbs.
• Barb Spacing and Length:
  • Barbs spaced at approximately 26 mm intervals.
  • Each barb measures roughly 15 mm long and 13 mm wide.
• Coil Construction:
  • Razor wire coils arranged in a Coil Pyramid configuration with three concertina layers.
  • Each coil measures approximately 730 mm in diameter when fully deployed.
  • Coils preloaded in modules with a minimum length of 75 meters per module.
  • Equipped with anti-tangle strut wires to maintain coil separation.

The Razor Wire Barbed Tape is designed to prevent intrusion along perimeter barriers.   • Intermediate steel posts (50 mm diameter, 3.0 meters length) spaced at 2.5 meters intervals.
  • Corner posts (75 mm diameter, 3.5 meters length) at fence turns for additional stability.
  • All posts galvanized and powder-coated for corrosion resistance.
• Straining Posts and Bracing:
  • Straining posts placed every 30 meters or at abrupt directional changes.
  • Bracing struts attached to straining posts at a 45-degree angle to counteract tension forces.
  • Straining wire (4.0 mm diameter) used along the top and bottom of the fence to maintain rigidity.
• Gates and Hinges:
  • Single-leaf pedestrian gates (1.0 meter wide).

This method allows for swift and efficient installation, reducing labor time while maintaining high security standards.

• Chain Link Fence System:
  Chain link fencing will be erected alongside the Razor Wire system to enhance perimeter strength. Expert contractor personnel will oversee the installation of fencing, gates, corner posts, and footings. The entire process will adhere to BS 1722 specifications to ensure consistency, durability, and long-term reliability.

Site Preparation and Foundation Work

Prior to installation, the contractor will perform a thorough site inspection, soil testing, and topographic analysis. The foundation design and site development will be tailored to the project’s specific requirements, ensuring structural stability and longevity of the fencing systems. Following installation, the fence perimeter will be cleaned, graded, leveled, and compacted in compliance with project specifications.

Warranty and Quality Assurance

All materials and workmanship will be guaranteed against defects, improper design, or failure under normal usage conditions for a period of one year post-installation.
